Vital to the safe and efficient operation of a power plant, the NY963/663Y Series pressure reducing valve has been designed for ultimate reliability. It employs many new technology with advanced procession method to ensure the best performance for high pressure and temperature service.

Venturi Concept and Multiple Nozzle

The venturi design is based on a sophisticated concept. The upstream steam comes from venturi chamber with accelerated velocity, which turns the spray water and flows with it through the mixing module where steam and water meld together with very high contacting efficiency. The design brings many advantages including minimal pressure drop, shorter installation length and higher range ability, also there is no moving parts which ensure the stability and low maintenance cost in future operation.

Feed Water Control Valve

The most excellent of cage guided control valve is its balance characteristic, for plug balance port’s function, fluid pressure acted on static unbalance force of plug, it reduced unbalance force, then valve can be configured actuator smaller than conventional control valves.

With balance type characteristic, LT661Y/961Y feed water control valve is designed to focus on high pressure drops, effectively reduce the effects of cavitation and the noise in the high pressure drops services which is especially suitable for feed water application.

Multiple Nozzle Technology

Brief
HZVALVE has incorporated the latest technology in the multiple spray nozzle design. The high quality spring loaded nozzle was employed and assembled with desuperheaters to atomize the water droplets and produce the heat transfer contact area necessary for cooling the steam so that to bring steam and water to meld together with very high contacting efficiency.

Principle
The spray water enters the nozzle chamber through multiple tangentially drilled holes, thereby causing water to swirl within the nozzle chamber. The spring, which is pre-compressed to a certain set pressure, keeps the nozzle plug pressed against the seat. As soon as the pressure differential between the water & steam exceeds the set pressure, the plug lifts from its seat and the spray water exits through the small circumferential opening, in the form of a fine mist. Number of nozzles, spring range and spring set pressure is selected based on the process specifications. The spray water quantity is controlled by an external control valve which responds to feedback from a controller and downstream temperature sensor.

●The special swirl-chamber, spring-loaded design maintains an excellent spray pattern and atomize water into a very fine mist.
●The high quality surface finish minimises frictional losses, thereby ensuring that the total pressure difference between water and steam is available for atomisation of water.
●Wide range of Kv / Cv values selection are offered by using special nozzlecombinations.
●Set pressure & spring range selection ensures sequential opening of the individual nozzles.
●The nozzle is screwed then seal welded into a nozzle holder, easy to be maintained and replaced.


Multiple Nozzle Technology

Nozzle Testing Device

The company has an adjustable multiple nozzle test device. After the nozzle is polished and assembled, each nozzle will be carried out opening and atomizing testing before installing into desuperheater.

The device is composed of water spray frame, air storage tank, pressure gauge, control device, etc. it can test multi specification and multi series nozzles with different flow rate, so as to ensure that each set of nozzle has undergone strict atomization opening test before leaving the factory, and ensure the excellent atomization effect and reliability of the nozzle.

The conventional opening value is 0.1 ± 0.01Mpa

Over (30%~50%) of opening pressure

The spray water enters the swirl chamber with high velocity, gives an excellent spray pattern to optimizes the cooling liquid particle size and atomize water into a very fine mist so that quick evaporation can take place.
